Bitcoin dominance peaked at 58% in April. Now at 54%. Altcoin season may be forming. Here's the historical playbook.
Bitcoin dominance = BTC's share of total crypto market cap. When it falls, capital rotates from BTC into altcoins. This typically happens AFTER BTC makes a new high.
2021: BTC dominance fell from 72% to 38%. During that drop, ETH +800%, SOL +3,000%, ADA +2,000%. 2017: fell from 85% to 37%. Altcoins: 500–5,000%.
Watch the ETH/BTC ratio (currently 0.027). When it starts rising consistently, altcoin season is confirmed. ETH always leads the rotation — it moves before smaller caps.
Don't rush into altcoins yet. Wait for BTC above $70K. Then add ETH. Then SOL, XRP. Altcoin season rewards patience more than aggression.
